EDITOR’S NOTES: STARS TO SHINE AGAIN ON BROADWAY

Learning from last year's successes that Hollywood stars are box office dynamite producers are once again gleaning the galaxy to enhance their incoming productions.
Here’s three productions to start the season:

Jude Law in London’s Donmar production of Hamlet will arrive on Broadway Sept. 12 for a 12-week engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre. His first time on the Broadway stage since his Tony-nominated debut in 1995 in Indiscretions.
Better get on this ticket ASAP

Dynamic testosterone duo Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will star in A Steady Rain, by Keith Huff about two Chicago cops with differing accounts of an incident. It opens Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Gerald Schoenfeld for a strictly limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, December 6, 2009.

A rare chance to see Jackman not dance on Broadway

Julia Stiles and Bill Pullman will spar as a professor and his student in Oleanna, David Mamet’s tension-filled 1992 play at the Golden Theatre starting Sept. 29
Warning! You will walk out arguing with your date so choose carefully.

August 4th, the legendary comedian returns to Times Square for 6 performances. Joan Rivers will present an evening of her newest and most outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, and award show fashions at The Laurie Beechman Theatre inside the West Bank Cafe (407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue). Rivers performs live on Tuesdays at 9pm and Wednesdays at 8pm from August 4 - 20 Tickets are $30 with a portion of the proceeds going to Joan Rivers’ favorite charities: God’s Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
